Housed in the College of Public Health and Health Professions, the Center for Telehealth was established with gifts from the Arthur Vining Davis Foundation and Columbia Healthcare. The Center supports scientific investigation and clinical training in telehealth by providing specialized technology research, educational and clinical support services.

Specific Objectives of the Center
- Promote scientific investigation on the effects of telecommunication technologies on the quality, outcomes, and cost utility of health care practice.
- Develop and disseminate training curricula in the science and practice of telehealth.
- Provide consultation on the development and evaluation of distance approaches to healthcare.
- Serve as a conduit for educating communication technology manufacturers about the specific needs of telehealth providers and consumers.
